Sale and New Plus Size Bikini Styles

Hopefully the full figure bikini is here to stay. It is beginning to look like this is true! Further down this post is a new bikini top from Captiva by Christina. Some women are wearing Elomi swim bras as bikini tops. Let’s start with a look at some sale styles from S4A.

Swim Sexy’s Whole Bikinis on Sale

S4A’s Swim Sexy has two whole, (top and bottom), bikini styles on sale today. They both have reviews, which can help you decide if you’d like to try them.

This retro leopard style comes in sizes 10 to 24, & you can choose the top and bottom sizes separately! The whole swimsuit is just $46.20 today. You can wear the tie-halter around your back, as a bandeau, or neck, as a halter.

One of the reviews tells us this bikini’s top has side boning to help keep it up.

Swim Sexy’s polka-dot bikini below comes in one size, (20, 22 and 24 are the ones left at this writing), for both top & bottom, on sale currently for $57.80.

The bikini top is as convertible, halter / bandeau as the one above. The bottoms are also convertible. High waist, shown below, standard, low waist or swim skirt! I looked all through the description, and the reviews of this polka-dot bikini and did not find any mention of it having side boning for additional bust support as the leopard bikini at the top of this post had.

Elomi’s Bandeau, (removable shoulder straps), underwire bikini swim bras, on sale at Figleaves, for $36. That is half price.

They are currently available in sizes 38G, GG, HH, 42FF most sizes 44E to H and 46E to GG. They are low stock in most of those sizes.

  

I have not read that any reviewer is wearing this style of their swim bras as bikini tops, as some wrote of the full cup style.

However, when I consider that many bra sized swimsuits, especially bikini tops, tend to look as much like bras as this style does anyway…

It may work well for some of us as a bikini top!

Captiva’s Waterfall Effect Bikini

Captiva, by Christina, has this new bikini top, with matching bottoms available. This style offers soft cup, with side boning, bust support. Plus you can cross the adjustable straps in the back for extra bust support! This style also has an adjustable back clasp!

Click on this bikini top and you will find it, for $78, (& that is just the top), in sizes 1X to 3X at Always for Me.

  

They also have the matching skirtini bottoms, for $68, in sizes 1X to 3X too.
These have an draw string adjustable side-tie.

The side-ties of the skirtini bottoms are accented with gold tone beads and the bikini tops have a center bust gold and white accent clip!
These Captiva styles are too new for reviews.

I am not surprised there are so few styles left from summer to go on sale at S4A.
When you consider the price of bikini separates…

I think the sale styles, or even just their reviews, are a great help in terms of deciding if we want to try the bikini look ourselves!

Twist Front, Ruched Delta Burke Bathing Suits

Delta Burke twist-front, ruched swimsuits are get excellent ratings at Always for Me and S4A, (Swimsuits for All). Always for Me, (who has their own twist-front shirred swimwear), has the solid versions of these swimsuits in sizes 16W to 24W,  on sale for $49.50 at this 7/18/14 update. Delta Burke swimsuits are often on sale at S4A! They have Delta Burke bathing suits in sizes 12 to 34!

Christina’s Captiva Swimwear

Captiva is Christina’s more youthfully styled, colorful and trendy swimwear collection that has done well since it came out a few years ago.We can also count on it for fresh and trendy cuts and prints!

Based on Christina’s original high quality designs, we can find both foam cup, on an empire elastic band, and underwire bust support, fully adjustable straps and other excellent and flattering construction features in this relatively new swimwear line.

In recent years I am finding Captiva by Christina tankini tops and swim briefs, shorts and skirts at Always for Me and some times, (often on sale, or with applicable discounts available!), at Bare Necessities!

New Captiva Swimwear Oct. 2013

Just in at Always for Me are two new Captiva tankini tops! Both come in sizes 1X to 3X. Captiva’s Waft Sand underwire tankini top has a proven flattering cut. Its wrap front styling creates an alluring V-neckline, while its empire waist slenderizes your torso.

This top has adjustable straps and mentions they are removable at the back. I believe this means you could wear it as a tie-halter style!
Its underwire support is on a 360 degree power mesh for excellent bust support.
This style also has gold tone bead accented side-tie draw strings at its side seams, but I cannot tell if these are working adjustable side-ties…
This underwire style is too new for reviews so far, (10/19/13), and costs $88.

Their Sun Reflection tankini top provides foam cup bust support on a broad elastic with power mesh lining to your back and adjustable straps. This style also appears to provide excellent side of bust coverage!

This tankini top has a flared A-line cut with a gold and white clasp at the center of its gathered bust.

 

The tropical sunset scheme of this style’s print will obscure bulges while its neckline draws attention upward. Its pink and coral tones compliment most skin tones.

This Style is also too new for reviews and costs $78 at Always for Me.

Current Captiva Sale Styles

Always for Me has Captiva’s underwire tankini tops on sale at 25% to 50% off, at mostly $66 and two for $44. They also have their black swim briefs, shorts and swim skirts on sale at $29, $46.50 and $51 in sizes 1X to 3X.

This style is still available in sizes 2X and 3X, provides underwire support with adjustable straps, has 2 excellent reviews and is on sale for $66.

  

This underwire tankini top is available in sizes 1X and 2X, has working side-ties and if you click on its picture, (on 10/19/13), you can find it on sale for $66!

  

Captiva’s transformable, hipster to full coverage, swim briefs for $29 at Always for Me are only available in size 3X, and it looks like just one at that.

Likewise, currently the only Captiva swimwear available at Bare Necessities is on sale for great prices such as: $25.99 for this underwire tankini top, but only size 3X is left.  

And another one, nautical striped, underwire tankini top in sizes 1X and 3X for $22.99.

Naturally both stores will likely have more new styles as we get closer to spring and summer next year. I will update this page, or post them here separately, as they come along.
